INNELLAN BOWLING AND
TENNIS CLUB Club Competitions - Bowls Members participating in competitions must acquaint themselves with the draw and closing dates of each round. BOTH PLAYERS IN SINGLES AND
BOTH PAIRS IN PAIRS COMPETITIONS ARE EQUALLY RESPONSIBLE
FOR ARRANGING TIES AND ENSURING THAT TIES ARE COMPLETED
BY THE DUE DATE. One weeks notice required and
three dates must be given. Dates to be over two separate
weeks. If said dates and times unsuitable second party
should give alternative dates and times suitable. Failure
by Players to reach agreement for playing ties will
result in Convenors deciding outcome of ties. When Members have arranged to play off a tie at a certain time and one of the parties does not turn up as arranged his/her opponent(s) can claim the tie. Where there are good reasons (eg immediate family bereavement, illness,) for a tie not being completed by the due date the Competitions Convenors may allow an extension of normally no more than seven days for a tie to be completed. In the event that a tie is not completed by the due date one or both players in a singles competition and one or both pairs in a pairs competition may be scratched from the competition. Unless otherwise provided for in the Club competition rules, all competitions shall be played under the laws of the game as adopted by Bowls Scotland. Competitions Convenor Competitions - Tennis Due to Covid restrictions last year, we were unable to hold our usual yearly tennis tournaments. However, we successfully had a members Open Day on the 27th June; a Tennis Members tournament on the 7th August and held the Drummond Trophy Tournament on the 5th September. (This is a joint tennis/ bowling event.) All these occasions were very much enjoyed with an excellent tea and nibbles after! |
